Description

Day 1 Having picked you up from Uyuni Airport at the indicated time, we'll set off towards the world's largest salt flat. On the way, we'll make a stop at the Train Cemetery, home to the rusting remains of hundreds of abandoned 20th-century locomotives. We'll continue towards the picturesque village of Colchani, where we'll visit the local market and a salt processing plant run by local artisans. Afterwards, we'll arrive at the Uyuni salt flat to enjoy a pleasant walk through this natural wonder that holds 60% of the world's lithium reserve. Once in the Uyuni salt flat, we'll see the salt piles, the water holes and the peculiar monuments such as the one erected for the Dakar Rally. We'll visit the world's first salt hotel and have a picnic lunch in the salt flat—a unique experience! After lunch, we'll go to Incahuasi Island, famous for its giant cacti. Here, we'll hike up to one of the island's peaks where we'll admire the panoramic view of the entire salt flat, photo moment! At the end of the day, we'll settle into the hotel before heading back out to watch a stunning sunset reflected on the Uyuni salt flat—an unforgettable experience! Day 2 When the first light of dawn illuminates the sky, we'll wake up and refuel with a delicious breakfast before setting off for Coqueza, a small town located on the slopes of the Tunupa volcano, where we'll enjoy the natural scenery and discover the Andean origin of its name. Once at the foot of Tunupa, we'll get into our vehicle which will take us to the base of the volcano to get excellent panoramic views of the Uyuni salt flat. If you'd prefer, you can do the ascent on foot. After exploring the area, we'll return to the hotel, making stops along the way to enjoy the natural beauty of this area of Bolivia. Day 3 After taking our time to enjoy breakfast, we'll get ready for our journey back. Once we're ready to go, we'll hop back on our vehicle and make our way back to the starting point. We'll arrive back at the airport where we'll put an end to this memorable adventure.
