Description
DAY 1 Head to the bus office by 8:30 PM for check-in. The bus will depart at 9:00 PM. Onboard, enjoy Dinner (with Meat and Vegetarian options), Breakfast, a Bottle of Water, a Hot Drink, Heating, Restrooms, a Polar Blanket, and a First Aid Kit. DAY 2 Arrive in Uyuni at 7:30 AM and head to our office, located 1 block from the bus station. Enjoy free time to buy snacks, water, and use the restrooms to freshen up. (Free time is provided because all companies and tourist sites are available from 10:30 AM onwards.) Your tour starts at 10:30 AM, departing from the Perla de Bolivia office. Visit the Train Graveyard, the small settlement of Colchani (salt miner workshops next to the salt flat), salt crafts, and textile art made from llama and alpaca fiber. Next, visit the 'Salt Water Eyes,' a salt hotel-museum, and Incahuasi Island. Then, ensure you and your group pose for fun perspective-distorted photos against the striking white backdrop of the salt flat. To end the day, head to an open, spacious area to experience a stunning sunset over the salt flat, and then arrive at the village of Ajencha for dinner and overnight at the hostel. DAY 3 Start at 7:00 AM for breakfast. Visit the Ollagüe Volcano viewpoint, the rocky path 'El Pasito Tuntun,' and the famous Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota Lagoons, where you can see flamingos. In the afternoon, enter the 'Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve,' visit the Siloli Desert, the Rock Tree, and the immense Red Lagoon to see more pink flamingos in their natural habitat. Overnight stay at the Huayllajara hostel. DAY 4 Start early, around 5:00 AM, to visit the Sol de Mañana Geysers, Hot Springs, Dali Desert, Green Lagoon, and White Lagoon at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Then, return to the Bolivia-Chile border (Hito Cajón). A guide will assist you in crossing the border at 10:30 AM, arriving in San Pedro de Atacama by 2:00 PM.
