Description

Day 1 Visit: Train Cemetery + Uyuni Salt Flats + Incahuasi Island Departure from the city of Uyuni at 10:30 am towards the salt flats in 4x4 WD cars. First, drive around the Train Cemetery to observe the remains of the 18th and early 20th century locomotives (The perfect place to take artistic photos). Then, reach the town of Colchani to appreciate the salt production and take a short walk through the craft market and museum. Later, the immense Uyuni Salt Flat at 3,663 meters above sea level which extends over an area of 12,000 km². Along the trip, visit Ojos de Sal, Salt Hotel-Museum (built entirely with salt blocks), Dakar Monument, Flags of the world, and finally, reach Incahuasi Island to appreciate the beautiful view and the giant cacti. At the end of the day, take your time at the sunset with a glass of wine, and arrive at the lodge for dinner time. Day 2 Visit: Chiguana + Ollague Viewpoint + Andean lagoons with flamingos + Laguna Colorada After breakfast, go to visit the famous lagoons: Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota, with a large number of flamingos. Later, an exquisite lunch, Siloli desert, Árbol de Piedra. At the end of the day, arrival at the Laguna Roja which is inhabited by numerous flamingos, within these species there are 3 varieties: Chilean, James and Andean. Finally, head to the hotel in the community of 'Huayllajara' for dinner, and rest Day 3 Visit: Sol de Mañana Geysers + Hot Springs Pool + Laguna Verde Viewpoint - Laguna Blanca - Lincancabur Volcano + Uyuni Very early in the morning, after breakfast, head to the 'Sol de Mañana' geysers and enjoy a fantastic view along the way; This place has volcanic activity such as fumaroles and geysers (bubbling, steaming, sulfur-smelling mud holes). Also visit the Polques hot springs for a dip and relaxation while enjoying the most beautiful scenery. Next, the Salvador Dali Desert, which offers spectacular views and multi-colored rock formations of volcanoes. Later, climb to the viewpoint of Laguna Verde, Laguna Blanca, and Lincancabur Volcano. (Don't be surprised if we go to the Chilean border, sometimes we have clients who need to stop there.) Finally, head back to Uyuni, and on the way, after lunch, appreciate bofedales and more rock formations. Arrival time at the office in Uyuni city: 06:30 pm IMPORTANT INFORMATION *During the rainy season (January to April), it is not possible to access Incahuasi Island.
