Description
Day 1 Lima - Puno The tour to the Salar de Uyuni from Lima begins with the departure at 12:30 p.m. to Puno. We will make a brief stop in Arequipa before continuing to the city of Puno. Day 2 Recepción y noche en Puno Arrival at the Puno terminal and transportation to the hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure and spend the night in Puno (accommodation on your own). Day 3 Puno – La Paz – Uyuni Pick up at the hotel in Puno and transfer to the bus terminal. Travel by tourist bus from Puno to La Paz (arrival at 2:00 p.m.). Free afternoon to explore the city of La Paz and El Alto. Transfer by tourist bus from La Paz to Uyuni (departure at 8:00 p.m.). Day 4 Uyuni – Salar de Uyuni Pick up at the Uyuni bus terminal and transfer to a cafeteria where you can have breakfast on your own. Pick up at 10:30 am from the cafeteria. We will start by visiting the train cemetery to explore the old locomotives. Then we will go to the community of Colchani, the entrance to the Salar, where we will find rustic craft workshops and a traditional table salt micro-processor. Continuing with the expedition through the majestic Salar de Uyuni, we will make stops to observe salt extraction, the 'eyes of the salt flat' and the Playa Blanca Salt Hotel, which now functions as a museum. Then we will visit the most famous island of the Salar, Incahuasi, located in the center, where we will hike and enjoy extensive cacti, marine fossils, and 360-degree panoramic views from the viewpoint. At the end of our tour, we will head back to the town of Uyuni.Includes
