Description
We will begin the 1-day Sun and Moon Island Tour with a hotel pick-up in Copacabana at 08:00 AM, after which we will head to the pier to start the tour. Next, we will cross Lake Titicaca to reach the southern side of the Island of the Sun, where we will visit the Pikokaina archaeological site (Temple of the Sun). Then, we will explore the southern part of the Island of the Sun and descend the Yumani steps, dating back to Inca times. At the bottom of the steps, we will find the Fountain of Eternal Youth and the Inca garden. Afterwards, we will descend to the pier to board the boat to Challapampa, where we will visit the Chinkana and Sacred Rock (where, according to mythological tales, the Sun and the founders of Andean culture were born). We will then return to the pier to head to the Island of the Moon, where we will visit the archaeological remains of the Temple of the Moon and the House of the Virgins of the Sun. Finally, we will board the boat back to Copacabana, with an estimated arrival time of 5:00 PM. End of our 1-day Sun and Moon Island Tour services.Includes
