Description
Day 1 The trip departs from San Pedro de Atacama at 07:00 hrs. By mini bus to the Bolivian border, passing through immigration in Chile and Bolivia. Once at the Bolivian border at an altitude of 4,400 meters above sea level, the vehicle is changed to a 4WD TOYOTA LAND CRUISSER jeep. On this first day, the group continues the visit to the Bolivian highlands to places such as: Laguna Verde and Laguna Blanca; located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano, the Daly desert, the hot springs pools, the Sol de Mañana geysers; intermittent sources of water that spring at a temperature of 90 ° C and fumaroles, cracks where volcanic lava comes out; to end the day, Laguna Colorada, the main nesting center for more than 30,000 flamingos of 3 species. Day 2 Departure from the DESERT hotel (TAYKA HOTELS) or MALLKU CAVE at 08:00 hrs. Through the Siloli desert to visit a set of rock formations whose formation is due to wind erosion, later continuing through more high plateau lagoons also known as colored lagoons: Laguna Honda, Cañapa and Turquiri. Valley of rocks, alota wetlands through the town of San Cristóbal to the town of Colchani. Night at the PALACIO DE SAL or LUNA SALADA hotel according to availability in single, double or matrimonial rooms. Day 3 On this third day, we will visit the Salar de Uyuni (12,000 km2) depending on the weather. We will do the sunrise and then begin a tour of the endless white of the Salar until we reach the Incahuasi Island. We will be able to walk along its trails and reach the highest part of the island, from where we have a 360° view of the Salar. Then, we will visit the Salt Museum, the Dakar monument and we will leave the Salar to visit the town of Colchani. We will also make a stop at the Train Cemetery and then we will move to the city of Uyuni to end our adventure.Includes
