Description
Itinerary We will pick you up at your hotel in Puno between 7:00 and 7:20 a.m. and head to the port. We will board a speedboat on the shores of Lake Titicaca and sail the waters of the highest navigable lake in the world. We will arrive at our first stop: the famous floating islands of the Uros. We will disembark on one of the main islands to meet the locals, descendants of the pre-Inca ancestral people of the Uros. Here we will discover all about one of the first cultures of the Andean highlands, while admiring this impressive artificial archipelago. We will board the boat again and head towards Taquile Island, the largest island in Lake Titicaca. We will delve into the local culture exploring the handcrafted garments made with high weaving techniques that make the locals famous. Afterwards, we will make a stop to recharge our batteries with a succulent traditional lunch - what a delight! With our appetite satiated, we will say goodbye to the island.
