Description

Day 1: Start your tour at 10:30 AM with a drive to the Salar de Uyuni. The first stop is the eerie 'Train Graveyard,' located on the outskirts of Uyuni. Next, visit the small settlement of Colchani (where you’ll find salt miner workshops near the salar). Here, you can also find salt crafts and textile art made from llama and alpaca wool—great souvenirs to take home. Take photos as you explore the vast white expanse of salt, wade through the 'Salt Water Eyes,' and visit a salt hotel that now operates as a museum-restaurant. Don’t miss the World Flags display (where you can bring and add your own flag for free) and the Dakar Rally Monument. After a morning of exploration, lunch will be served on the way. Following lunch, you’ll have time to hike to the top of Incahuasi Island to see giant cacti and rock formations made of petrified coral. Next, take time to organize your group to capture fun and memorable photos with distorted perspectives and proportions on the dazzling white surface of the salt flat. Finally, head to a wide area to experience a beautiful sunset over the salar, with its stunning colors spreading across the Salar de Uyuni, and enjoy it with a glass of wine. Accommodation: Agencha Hostel: rooms with 3, 4, 5, and 6 beds + shared bathrooms / No Wi-Fi Day 2: Departure at 6:30 AM for breakfast. The first stop is the Chiguana Desert, located on the southern side of the Uyuni salt flat, surrounded by volcanoes such as the Ollagüe, which is still active and visible from the viewpoint. Then continue along the rocky path to visit: Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota Lagoons, where you can see flamingos. After lunch, enter the 'Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve,' visit the Siloli Desert (the highest and driest desert in the world), and take a photo next to the 'Rock Tree' (a lava rock formation). Before reaching the final destination, stop at the Red Lagoon viewpoint to see more pink flamingos in their natural habitat and admire this intensely red lake. Accommodation: Huayllajara Hostel, shared rooms with 6 beds + shared bathrooms, no hot water (to protect the national park) / No Wi-Fi Day 3: Start early, around 5:00 AM, to visit the Sol de Mañana Geysers and walk among steaming fumaroles and boiling mud pots. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to take a dip in outdoor hot springs with water at 35ºC. Next, enjoy the landscapes of the Dali Desert and the Green and White Lagoons. Then, return to Uyuni, passing through beautiful scenery along the way and having a picnic lunch by the roadside. On the way, pass by the Valley of Rocks and make a brief stop in the village of San Cristóbal for a restroom break. Arrive in Uyuni between 5:45 PM and 6:45 PM. OPTIONAL: Upgrade your 2-Night Hostel stay by adding an extra cost in the Final Payment Panel.
