Description

Explore the beautiful nature, history and culture of La Paz on this exciting multi-day tour of some of the most famous and impressive landmarks. Day 1: Start mountain biking early in the morning at 7:30. After packing your full-suspension bike and cycling gear (helmet, gloves, jacket, pants), you're ready to go. Stage 1: Gain confidence and familiarize yourself with the bike on this 22 km downhill paved road. At the police checkpoint (after 45 min.) all visitors pay Bs. 50 for entry. Pedal with ease, as the security van always follows behind the group, and enjoy stops for water, photos and bike checks. Stage 2: Dive into the journey along the 'Death Road' for about 10 km, always in a tight group and followed by a break for a snack. Stage 3: Start the final stretch of the day with a view of a beautiful waterfall and about 32 km before reaching Yolosa. Finally, relax in a hotel with showers, pool and lunch. Enjoy new stunning views around 16:00 as you head back to La Paz driving on a new road. Get dropped off at the Bus Office (La Paz to Uyuni). **Take your bags with you because you will not be returning to your hotel**. The bus leaves at 21:00. Second Day - Arrival in the city of Uyuni at 7:30 a.m. Afterwards you will have free time to visit the impressive city. Then, start your excursion at 10:30 a.m. where you will visit the Train Cemetery, Colchani (salt miners' workshops next to the salt flat), crafts made with salt and textile art made with llama and alpaca fiber. Next, Ojos de Agua Salada, a museum hotel made entirely of salt, Banderas del Mundo, Monumento a Dakar, and Isla Incahuasi. Then, pose for some fun distorted perspective and proportion photos, taken against the backdrop of the striking white surface of the salt flat. Head to a spacious area at the end of the day to live the unique experience of watching a beautiful sunset, spreading its dazzling colors across the entire salt flat, and finally, reach the town of Ajencha for dinner, where you will spend the night at the lodge. Third Day - Start at 7:00 a.m. with a hearty breakfast, then visit Ollagüe, the rocky path 'El Pasito Tuntun', the famous Lagunas Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota where you can see flamingos. Finally, head into the “Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve” where you can see the Siloli Desert, the Rock Tree, and the vast Red Lagoon to see more pink flamingos in their natural habitat. Spend the night at a Huayllajara lodge. Day 4 - Get an early start, around 5:00 am, to visit Sol de Mañana Geyser, a swim in the Polques Hot Springs, the Dali Desert, the Green Lagoon, and the White Lagoon at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Next, head back to the Bolivia-Chile border (Hito Cajón), where your guide will help you cross the border at 10:30 am, and finally arrive in San Pedro de Atacama at 2:00 pm.
