Description
(It is important to make your reservation one month in advance) The excursion from Puno to Copacabana Isla del Sol will allow you to visit the Basilica of the Virgin Candelaria de Copacabana and the Island of the Sun in this day trip, located in Copacabana (Bolivia) at a distance of 142 km from the city of Puno. This place was the center of origin of the Inca Empire, visiting this place will allow you to discover archaeological centers dedicated to the cult of the Sun God or Inti. Itinerary: - First we will pick you up from the hotel at 7:00 a.m. city of Puno and then to the terminal station, from where we will go to Copacabana by tour bus. - After a few hours of travel we will arrive at the Peru-Bolivia border (Cassani) where we will complete the formalities to enter Bolivia. - After completing all the formalities, we will continue our trip until we arrive in Copacabana, approximate time of arrival: 12:00 Bolivian time. Here we will have lunch and a guided visit to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Copacabana. Then we will go to the pier to take the boat that will take us to the Isla del Sol. We will cross Lake Titicaca to reach the south side of the Island of the Sun, where we will visit the archaeological site of Pilkoken (Temple of the Sun). On the way to the south side of Isla del Sol, we will go down the Umani stairs from Inca times and, among other things, visit the Eternal Fountain of the Incas, where you will have the opportunity to taste the holy water. - Finally, we will embark back to Copacabana with an estimated time of arrival at 17:00. Once back in Copacabana, we will have some free time before taking the bus back to Puno, arriving at approximately 21:00. Afterwards, we will head to the hotel in Puno.Includes
