Description
Explore the surroundings of Uyuni on a 3-day tour. Observe salt crafts, stop at the Flags of the World, and visit the Chiguana Desert. See the still-active Ollagüe volcano and the lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota. Day 1: Uyuni Meet your guide in Uyuni and begin your 3-day adventure. Head to the Train Cemetery, a graveyard filled with abandoned trains. Stop at the small settlement of Colchani, where salt miners lived, and purchase crafts made from salt and textile art made from llama and alpaca fiber. Next, visit a hotel and a museum made entirely of salt. Bring your country's flag and place it at the Flags of the World, and stop at the Dakar Rally Monument. For an additional price, visit Incahuasi Island, an ancient island in the middle of the salt flat. Then, pose for fun distorted photos created by perspective and proportion, taken against the striking white surface of the salt flat. Finally, head to a wide area to experience the unique sight of a beautiful sunset over the salt flat, spreading its dazzling colors across the Salar de Uyuni, and enjoy it with a glass of wine. Day 2: Uyuni - Huayllajara Start with an early breakfast before heading to the Chiguana Desert. Stay surrounded by volcanoes and marvel at the still-active Ollagüe volcano. Continue along the rocky El Pasito Tuntún road to reach the beautiful lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota. Keep an eye out for brightly colored flamingos perched on the lagoons. Stop for lunch before heading to Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve (entrance not included). Visit Siloli Desert and see the lava rock formation 'Rock Tree.' Continue to Huayllajara, stopping at the viewpoint of Laguna Roja to see flamingos relaxing in the intense red colors of the lake. Day 3: Huayllajara - San Pedro de Atacama Start early around 5:00 AM to visit the Sol de Mañana Geyser (5,000 m) and walk alongside fumaroles and steaming craters filled with boiling mud pots at 150-200 °C. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to take a bath in outdoor thermal waters at 35 °C. The next places to appreciate are Dalí Desert and marvel at the vivid colors of Green Lagoon and White Lagoon, created from toxic copper water at the foot of Licancabur Volcano. Afterward, return to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. Cross the Bolivian border with your tour guide's help and end your adventure in San Pedro de Atacama's main square.Includes
