Description

Embark on a 4-day tour from La Paz to Uyuni to see the best of the Bolivian salt flats. Visit the Train Cemetery, the Salar de Uyuni, and the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve. Enjoy a picnic lunch and a hot spring bath. Day 1: Head to the 'Todo Turismo' office at 8:30 PM for check-in; the bus departs at 9:00 PM. Onboard, enjoy dinner, breakfast, bottled water, one hot drink, heating, restroom, blanket, Wi-Fi, and a first aid kit. Day 2: Arrive in Uyuni at 7:30 AM. Free time to buy coffee, snacks, and water (free time until 10:30 AM when tourist sites open). Head to the office at 10:00 AM. Tour starts at 10:30 AM. First stop: the eerie 'Train Cemetery' outside Uyuni. Visit Colchani (salt miner workshops), where you can find salt crafts and textiles made from llama and alpaca wool—great souvenirs. Lunch served around noon. Next, visit Salar de Uyuni: Saltwater eyes, Salt hotel-museum, World flags (bring yours to display for free), and a Dakar race monument. Then hike to Incahuasi Island for giant cacti and coral rock formations. Take time for fun perspective photos on the dazzling white salt flats—capture memorable moments. Accommodation: 1st Night: Agencha Hostel: Shared rooms (3-6 beds) + shared bathrooms / No Wi-Fi. Day 3: Departure at 6:30 AM for breakfast. First stop: Chiguana Desert, south of Salar de Uyuni, surrounded by volcanoes like Ollagüe. Next, visit Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota lagoons to see flamingos. After lunch, enter 'Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve,' visit Siloli Desert (highest and driest in the world), and snap a photo by the 'Rock Tree' (lava rock formation) and Laguna Roja with more pink flamingos. Accommodation: 2nd Night: Huayllajara Hostel, shared rooms (6 beds) + shared bathrooms / No hot water for showers (to prevent contamination in the reserve) / No Wi-Fi. Day 4: Start early at 5:00 AM to visit Sol de Mañana Geyser and walk by steaming craters filled with boiling mud pots. Then enjoy an outdoor hot spring bath at 35°C. Next stops: Dalí Desert, Laguna Verde, and Laguna Blanca. Return to Uyuni while enjoying scenic views and picnic lunch along the way. Arrive in Uyuni between 5:45 PM and 6:45 PM. Head to the Bus Office by yourself at 8:30 PM. Bus departs Uyuni for La Paz at 9:00 PM. Day 5: Arrive in La Paz between 6:15 AM and 6:35 AM. End of tour at La Paz Main Bus Station.
