Description
First day - - - - - Mountain biking starts at 7:30 am. Point 1: This is a 22 km descent on paved road. At the police checkpoint (after 45 min.) all visitors pay Bs. 50 for the entrance to the national park. This first stretch is for you to gain confidence and get used to the bike. Don't worry, the security van is always behind the group and we have stops for water, photos and bike checks. Point 2: 'Death Road' about 10 Km. always in a compact group (safety first!!!!) and also snack time. Point 3: About 32 Km. starts with a splashing waterfall !!!! Finally, the end of the ride is in Yolosa, so the next stop is at a hotel with showers, pool and also a buffet lunch. At approximately 05:00 p.m. it is time to return to La Paz driving on the new road. At the end of the 'Death Road Tour' the guide will drop you off at the bus office to take your bus from La Paz to Uyuni. **Bring your luggage because you will not return to your hotel. The bus leaves at 9:00 pm. Second day - - - - - Arrive in the city of Uyuni at 7:30 a.m. and head to our office, located 1 block from the bus station, Free time to buy water, snacks and use the restrooms. Start your excursion at 10:30 a.m. departing from the city of Uyuni to the Salar de Uyuni (full day excursion) with a visit to Uyuni's 'train cemetery' to see Bolivia's first locomotives and take amazing photos. Next, visit the small settlement of Colchani (salt miners' workshops), and contemplate the handicrafts made of salt and the textile art made of llama and alpaca. Take pictures as you navigate the vast white expanse of salt. Afterwards, visit 'Ojos de Agua Salada', a hotel made entirely of salt that is now used as a museum, the island of the flags of the world and the famous Dakar Monument. Lunch will be served near 'Incahuasi Island' then you will have time to hike to the top of the island to see giant cacti and rock formations made of petrified coral. From the top admire the 360º view of the Salar de Uyuni. Take your time to organize your group to take fun perspective and distorted ratio photos of the blinding white surface of the salt flat. Afterwards, head to a large area for the unique experience of watching a beautiful sunset over the salt flat with a glass of wine and some chips. Return to the city of Uyuni to our office at 19:00. Then head to the bus office at 20:30, because your bus from Uyuni to La Paz leaves at 21:00. Day Three - - - - - Arrive in the city of La Paz at 6:30 am.
