Travel the famous Death Road by mountain bike on the first day of your guided tour. On day 2, visit the Train Cemetery, the Salar de Uyuni and the Dakar Monument.

Description

Day 1 Death Road + Bus La Paz to Uyuni Mountain biking starts at 7:30 a.m. Point 1: This is a 22 km descent on a paved road. At the police checkpoint (after 45 min.) all visitors pay Bs. 50 for the entrance to the national park. This first stretch is for you to gain confidence and get used to the bike. Don't worry, the security van always goes behind the group and we have stops for water, photos and bike checks. Point 2: 'Death Road' about 10 Km. always in a tight group (safety first!!!) and also snack time. Point 3: About 32 Km. it starts with a splashing waterfall!!! Finally, the end of the tour is in Yolosa, so the next stop is at a hotel with showers, pool and also a buffet lunch. At approximately 05:00 p.m. it is time to head back to La Paz driving on the new road. At the end of the 'Death Road Tour' the guide will drop you off at the bus office to take your bus from La Paz to Uyuni. **Take your bags with you because you will not be returning to your hotel**. The bus leaves at 21:00 h. Day 2 - Full day in Uyuni + Bus Uyuni - La Paz Arrival in Uyuni City at 7:30 a.m. - Free Time - then head to our office near the bus station, Departure from Uyuni City at 10:30 a.m. to the salt flat by 4x4 WD transport. During this excursion we will visit: -Train Cemetery These 19th century locomotives remind of old times. This beautiful place is excellent for photographers. -Colchani The Rosario Cooperative, which is a salt iodization plant, is located on the edge of the salt flats. It is a good place to observe the methods of salt extraction and processing. You can also see the Artisanal Salt Market (llama clothing - salt crafts) and a small salt museum. -Salt Flats of Uyuni With an altitude of 3,665 meters and an area of 12,000 km2, the tour of the salt flat offers a stunning and incomparable landscape. Also, visit the salt eyes, the salt and take beautiful photos. -Salt Museum - Hotel This is an unusual construction, built entirely with blocks of salt. -Dakar Monument + Island of the Flags of the World The Flags of the World (where you can bring your own and put it there for free) and a Dakar Monument to take beautiful photos. -Incahuasi Island Located in the center of the salt flat, it is like an oasis of an exclusive and isolated ecosystem, and inhabited by cacti from 1 to 4 meters high. Incahuasi Island is considered an excellent place by photographers, as well as a place of rest, with the impressive landscape of the majestic Salar de Uyuni. Finally, enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. Return to Uyuni at 19:30 and at 21:00 bus from Uyuni to La Paz. Arrival at the Office Bus at 20:30 h. Day 3 Arrival in La Paz at 6:30 h. End point of the excursion: Bus station in the city of La Paz. INFORMATION *During the rainy season (January to April), it is not possible to access Incahuasi Island.
