Marvel at the world's largest salt flat with this day trip to the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia. Includes visits to the salt hotel, the train cemetery and the Tunupa volcano, among others. Round-trip transportation from Uyuni. train graveyard Starting the day at approx. 10:30 am, our guide gives you a brief briefing on some recommendations for the tour, and shortly after you will board a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser that will take you first to the train graveyard, where you will find a complete history of the first trains that arrived in Bolivia, and their purposes will be discovered. Shortly after, the crew takes you to the small town of Colchani, where you can expect many craft shops to purchase souvenirs, and also the salt factory, where salt is refined and packaged for consumption. Lunch takes place at a Salt hotel with plenty of options to suit all tastes. Uyuni Salt Flats Head towards the majestic Salar de Uyuni and begin the real journey towards the largest salt flat in the world. Your first stop will be next to the only construction allowed in the Salar, which is called Playa Blanca, the first salt hotel built in the salt flat. Then a 30 minute drive to the middle of nowhere to a special place to take the best photos of you and your friend with your experienced guide who will tell you how to do everything perfectly. Then we will go to Inca Wasy Island (Cactus Island) where we can see giant cacti and petrified Coral rock formations. Short 40min walk. to the top and we will reach the highest point of view on the trip with 3750 meters above sea level. (12,303.14 feet) where a 360* view of the Salar hole awaits you. After this incredible hike, it will be time for the stunning sunset, at approximately 6 p.m., and your driver will choose the best location for it. At the end of our tour, we will return to Uyuni approximately between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m.
