Day 01: Travel by guided Tourist Bus from Cusco to Puno. 6:30 A.M. Transfer from the meeting point in Cusco to the terminal 7:00 AM. to 5:00 PM - Travel a guided tourist bus from Cusco to Puno - Inka Express. 5:00 PM. Transfer from the bus terminal to the Hotel in Puno. Our bus is equipped with bathrooms and is directed by three people: a driver, a bilingual guide and a terrace attendant. We will make a short visit to the church of Andahuaylillas, the church that dates back to the beginning of the 17th century. It is known as the Sistine of South America due to the magnificent paintings it has and its chiseled gold altar. After 218 km we will have arrived at Raqchi, where the Inca temple of Wiracocha is located. The temple is made up of a main building that was occupied by the Inca and annexed buildings intended for the nobility. We will continue our way to Sicuani where we can enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. The landscapes are changing little by little, becoming more arid. Then we will arrive at La Raya, the culminating point of our tour located at 4,335 meters high. Our next destination is Pucará, where we will visit the Lithic Museum. This museum allows you to appreciate the evolution of the Andean people from the first men to the Incas. After Pucarà the route will be through high Andean esplanades under unreal clarity. The reflections of the sun in the lakes and rivers are unique in this place. Finally we will be arriving in the city of Puno, our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to your Hotel. Day 02: Tour of Lake Titicaca, Los Uros and Taquile. Breakfast at the Hotel. Tour on Lake Titicaca (from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm) Night in Hotel in Puno We will pick you up at approximately 6:30 a.m. To transfer you to the Port, at 06:50 a.m. you will leave the port of Puno on a tourist boat towards the surprising and majestic “Uros Islands”, arriving at approximately 07:20 in the morning. UROS: These islands are artificial floors, made of superimposed and skillfully interwoven cattails. During the journey the guide provides extensive information about Lake Titicaca, the legends of the Uros, their uses, customs and folklore. TAQUILE: Arriving in Taquile, we will go to the Plaza de Armas, free time for shopping. Taquile Island presents us with fabrics of an impressive quality comparable only to the looms of the Paracas or Egypt culture, declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity. At 12:40 noon you will enjoy an exquisite lunch, leaving the Port of Taquile at 2:30 pm, arriving in the city of Puno at approximately 5:30 pm.
