DAY 1 From Uyuni to the Salar 1 stop 1 Uyuni Salt Flat After being picked up from your hotel in Uyuni, head south to the train cemetery, located 3 km from the city. This is one of the most important attractions of its kind in the world. Continue to the Salar de Colchani, where you can buy all kinds of crafts made with salt. Continue to the popular salt mounds, where you'll have plenty of time to take unique and spectacular photographs. Enjoy a box lunch with local food in the middle of the salt flats and try an excellent selection of high-altitude wines. Visit Incahuasi Island, located in the middle of the Salar de Uyuni, where you can see the giant cacti and petrified corals. After a short hike to the top of this island, you will have a 360-degree view of the entire Salt Desert. Enjoy the Ojos de Sal and the sunset at the Uyuni Salt Flats.
